Re: Re: Rabies

My mule has had a reaction to a vaccine, but due to her murderous
tendencies, we dont know which one it was. all my other horses get the
rabies vaccination at a separate time from all the regular vaccinations, and
i have never had any reactions to the rabies. in addition while i was
working as a vererinary technician in the Army, we had to vaccinate about
200 head a year(every horse on a military base is required to have a rabies
vaccination.) and we never had a reaction to it. We used Imrab3 and that
is what i requested when i moved here and found out that the veterinarian
did not even carry a vaccine labeled for horses. When your horse was given
the rabies vaccination, was it labeled for horses? some rabies vaccines are
labeled for use in dogs and casts only and this is the vaccine that my vet
wanted to give to my horse before i requested the Imrab3.
