Hi Dyane
No-one here, even the older generation, remembers winds like it either.
Sometimes it does us good to be reminded that we can't control Mother
Nature.  Also this is a bit tough on the people who lost their lives, whose
houses were flooded out, and those who are still waiting for power to be
connected & their telephone to come back on!
I have a friend (English) who breeds Arabians just south of Chateauroux &
apart from some trees down she had no damage at all.
She seems to be in a little pocket that escaped the worst of both storms, ie
the one that Paris & the North over the Xmas weekend & the one that hit us 2
days later.
We are back to normal & starting to think about the up- coming season.  Life
goes on!
