english cantle bags for Wintec

I have a Wintec with a single flap. How can I make the
english cantle bags stay on with cutting into the flaps? I
know you can buy the bags specifically for single flap
saddles, but I'm trying to save some $$$$ here! (For a
change!) Any helpful hints from the horse-world?
