The ride managers' family still has to beat the other riders to come in top 
ten.  I am not sympathetic to this cause at all.  Back in the early 80's I 
had to listen to people whining because my friend won her husband's rides.  
It was assumed that we were riding on our home trails when in actuality, we 
never rode those trails except on endurance races.

As far as cheating on the trail, etc., it should be reported to the ride 
manager and if nothing is done file a protest.  It can't be fixed if no one 
knows about it.....mb
