DOGS & CATS (was weekend story)

The only advantage I could see to having a dog
along would be to hold off the cat long enough for
you to get away - and that only works if the dog
has enough gumption to FIGHT, not turn and run,
and it'd better be a dog you don't care much for
'cause the cat won't leave much to take home!
Until they banned hunting big cats with dogs I
knew a couple of hound men. They will tell you a
cat can stand it's ground easily against one or
two dogs, sometimes even an entire pack, if they
can get their back up against a rock outcropping.
