Re: Sponging from the water tank
Elizabeth,.... I reiterate.... a clean sponge... meaning U don't wipe ur
horse off with it. U squeeze it over the top of them. Consider the action
of using a scoop, & the water cascading off the horse & back into the tank
with all those same contaminants. I squeeze so much & so fast that I hardly
ever even touch the horse when sponging on the fly. Now if I get off at a
vet check & really sponge him all over, under the belly, etc... then I wud
sponge out of a separate bucket.
As in most things in life... it does require some common sense as what is
appropriate & what is not. I try to use good judgement in all cases & be
considerate of my fellow riders and horses.
