I used to not concern myself w/ small mileage rides because there was "No Adventure".  Then i got more horses and needed a forum for trainining and subjecting young horses to the stresses of a vet-in or a camp atmosphere,  or a start.  LD teaches them all these things.  So, consequently i now find it benefical to bring horses along using LD.  They are better by the experience.tom sites
