Updating your records for the AERC Office and the on-line database

Following is a statement from the AERC National Office that I am
posting on Ridecamp for them.

Now that we have an on-line method for AERC members to view their
recent records - errors or omissions may come to light that members 
would like to have corrected.  There is a process for accomplishing
that.

By Rule, (12.03), ride results become official 30 days after publication
in Endurance News and are not subject to change after that time.  The
National Office posts an asterisk(*) next to rider/horse records in the 
ride results to inform riders that there is a problem and they should
contact the office and get the problem resolved before the results
become official. There is no charge to change the ride results during
the 30 day window.

Rider and horse mileage can be recovered for a $10 research fee on all
rides completed as a non-member or during a period of lapsed membership.
Simply notify the AERC office in writing of the rides in question and 
include the appropriate fees. The office will update your records and 
send you a printout reflecting your current updated record. The on-line
data will be updated as well.  Again, these corrections do not affect
"Official" ride results in the current ride season.

Combining records from previous years is also possible where there have
been name changes, etc., and two or more records exist for the same 
rider or horse. A nominal fee of $10 per consolidation(ride) is
required.

Mistakes made by the National office will be rectified at no charge to
the member.  If in doubt about any discrepancy, contact the National
Office.
