Yoohoo...in re burial on your own land:  my guess is somewhere in CA someone
stands to make a buck from livestock disposal, lobbied your state/local
gov't, and got a small goldmine while you got the shaft.  Certainly has
happened in the human funeral business.  More about the latter if you want
to know--email me privately.
