There are other breeds of LGD but I think they all take their job pretty
seriously although our Tibetan Mastiffs made excellent family dogs as long
as just the family was around.  The Discovery Channel show on horses
I saw a couple of nights ago said that burros are being used as sheep herd
guardians and that they will run off coyotes!  I know for a fact that
burros do not like dogs but I'm not sure they'd be very good at getting
a possum out of a hen house!
