We run into bikers often, here in Arizona, and I make
a point of letting them know that their voices will
calm my horses. When a horse can make the connection
between the fast moving bike and the human voice, they
will come to understand that these "boogie men" aren't
going to eat them. Most bikers thank me for the news
and they are always polite. Besides, my gelding
enjoys watching them, like he enjoys spotting rabbits
and watching the dogs to see when they will see the
rabbits.
Hope we can keep our alliance with other trail users.
