Re: RC: Eating green pine needles
There was a case in our local paper last year (vet called
to investigate was our local vet) about wood chips with YEW
branches and needles in them. Highly toxic and killed 2 or
3 horses before anyone figured it out. The chips were
"free" but the cost was not worth it. I believe the YEW is
an ornamental evergreen, but maybe someone out there can
give more information.
I would say if the man who is unloading them has had other
horses die, then its too great a risk!
