Re: Hoof Abcess--HELP

Use that black tarry stuff called "Reducine". Comes from england. It is
really messy and gets all over everything, but, it works. Warm it up until
it is sort of runny. Stir it a bit so it is mixed well. Put a sponge
inside of an easy boot and pour the reducine into the sponge. Soak the
sponge pretty well. Put the boot on the bum foot and leave it on for 4 or 5
days. It will draw the abcess down. You may try adding more reducine and
standing him on it for another few days. Another thing that might help is
to stand him in hot epson salts for awhile just before you put the reducine
on him. The reducine is great for sore feet (hooves). It really helped a
gelding that came to me with road founder. Took all of the pain away in 3
days. Also...you might inject the hole (if you can find it) with some
colloidal silver. Can be obtained at the local health food store. I have
healed some major stuff with it. If you dont have any luck with the above,
then email me, I got some other remedies that have worked. gesa n clovis
