I had a problem a couple of years ago during the winter (southern Cal. even)
and Harca had a mild colic. We figured out that the water was too cold for
him and he wasn't drinking enough on a daily basis to keep things moving.
Moved the trough into the sun and ... voila.... no more problems. I know
those of you in colder climates won't find this helpful, but for us wimpy
Californians, pretty easy fix!
Sylvia & Harca (who chugs down water no matter what at a ride....but at home?
Picky!)
