quicking
Jaye Perry JShoes4U@aol
In response to quicking a horse most horse owners do not relieze that we drive over 75-80 THOUSAND NAILS A YEAR. I am guilty of getting one or two a year. Also, some of the nails we drive have the bevels of the nails on the wrong side and micro-splinters on the nails. sometimes you can stick a horse and they will never be lame or off. consitant quicking is a sign of inexpience, but most farriers are concincience enough to tell the owner(s) what has happened and remedy the problem. I think it is a pretty good average 1or2 out of 75,000, that is if the horses being worked on have manners.
