Spockish? Maybe. But our young horses are 'started' at about 3 hours old. By
the time we actually saddle, mount and stop and go they are between 3 and 4
and have already had all of the education to make the final stage of actually
riding them in tack no big deal. The time frame is a little different than
all those John wayne movies where they didn't have the time and a horse was
transportation not a pet. So far no problems with this lifestyle
