Good grief people...think about what you're saying.  How many of you has
been a ride manager and has tried to find a place for a safe finish. 
Then...HERE COME THE CREWS!!!!  Got that blasted diesel and they're
determined not to have to walk an inch if they can drive that thing in
and out of camp 10 dozen times.  

I have been thoroughly disgusted at people who should know better getting
their vehicle on the road in and out of camp at all the wrong times.  A
race to the finish is just that...and it's really scarey when you have
people show up who leave dogs loose, kids unsupervised etc.  Management
can't be everywhere, and riders who have worked hard for their placement
can't know what's around the bend when they take off. 

 I don't know how these people really responded to the accident, since "
word from your cousin whose sister was there and heard if from the people
camped next to them" isn't always the best.  But I think it's a good idea
if those of us who are not at the site of an accident refrain from
judging the situation.
