RC: White hairs on a chestnut

My 13 year old "orangy" Arab has lots of interspersed white hairs and is 
downright roany on the sides of his belly.  Yes Lif, he has three high 
white socks and a blaze also:)
As he ages, Jakar gets more "birdcatcher spots" across his back and croup. 
 To discern whether those under-saddle spots are from equipment, I feel for 
the telltale hardening and thickening of the skin and check for evasion 
from finger pressure over those spots.  After years of trying different 
saddles, we seem to have found a winner in the Sportsaddle combined with 
the Woolback pad with inserts... thanks to Karen Chaton:
