Acorns

Has anyone out there had any experiences with your horses eating acorns?  I 
have three good size oaks trees and plenty of acorns on the ground.  The deer 
are not eating them fast enough especially since Floyd came through and now 
the ground is covered with them.  Will they hurt a horse?  Thanks.
