Oops, guess I should clarify for those who don't know gaited horses. A corto
is the Paso Fino's version of a trot. A typical paso has three gaits, walk,
corto, and largo. Some canter too. Mine also trots and paces. Guess that
makes him a six gaited horse...hmmmm. Anyway, the corto is a four beat
lateral gait. The footfall is exactly like every horse's walk, left rear,
left front, right rear, right front. It's very smooth and very quick and a
lot of fun to ride. Hope that clarifies!
