Question on Russian bloodlines
I'm WAY behind on ridecamps..... but in case no one has replied. *Napitok
was shown as a park horse. He's featured in the Russian breeding videos.
Anyway, good movement, good bone. Don't know of any endurance connections.
Aswan was an Egyptian Arab, sent to Russia after completion of the Aswan Dam
(he was renamed for the occasion). He was raced some, and I've seen his
line in some racing lines, but he himself didn't have very good legs. I've
heard one rumor that Neposeda (who is found in a lot of top Russian lines)
may have been a SCID carrier. Something that won't affect performance, but
you need to check if you are considering breeding.
Outside of endurance riding, if you are looking at a horse that has the
bloodlines you mentioned, they are pretty top notch Russian lines.
