Swanton Pacific 100

Remember, this year's Swanton Pacific is the IAHA National Championship 100 
mile ride and IAHA is paying sweepstakes money for qualified horses.  The 
trails are improved and the weather has been gorgeous here lately.  The air 
is crystal clear, unusual in the summer time.  The days are pleasant ... in 
the 70s and low 80s ... and usually there is a breeze.  
We have a photographer coming this year who will take photos of individual 
riders on the trail and have them for sale on Sunday morning.  They are 
either 4X6 or 5X7 and are final prints, not proofs.  She sells them for $10 
if I remember correctly.  We will have vendors and an equine massage 
therapist on site during the event.  We're hoping to have a video production 
company taping in order to create a promotional video.
Due to the past two wet winters, there is adequate water on the trail and the 
forests are very beautiful.  With the nearly full moon, there should be 
plenty of light and if there is no fog on the coast, the views of the ocean 
should be spectacular at night.
The air has been so clear that we have seen the lights across the bay at 
Monterey and Pacific Grove.
We invite you to come and be a part of this world class ride.  It is very 
challenging, very beautiful, and we do our part to make it a memorable event 
for all.
