Saddle fitting nightmare over!
My saddle search is over!! Thanks to everyone who sent me
replies about several different saddles. I found an
endurance saddle in the National Bridle Shop called the
Tennessean. It's made on a Steele saddle tree and is
supposed to be perfect for gaited horses. The fact that
they said that irritated me so I didn't try it sooner. I
mean, don't they know that not all gaited horses are the
same? Well, I do have a gaited horse and this saddle fits
him perfectly!! Not only that but it fits me perfectly as
well, as soon as I sat in it I felt like I'd just put on a
well fitting glove. This was saddle #19 -- I was getting
pretty desperate! I'm very relieved and happy, now we can
really get going.
