Trail Loss Auburn-Cool area N.CA

Hi Folks: The local water district is proposing to seriously limit if not prohibit the access and use of trails in the Auburn, Cool, Pilot Hill, Georgetown, Kelsey, Greenwood areas. The lands that may be affected are adjacent to the Greengate Trail above the Tevis which Jim Laramier has put in some years back off Sliger Mine Road in Greenwood, CA. The ability to go from Auburn Lake Trails to Greenwood Lake, Camp Virner and all points North, South, East and West virtually any watercourse on the Georgetown Divide may be affected.

This proposed Ordinance has been posted today Aug. 6, 1999, The District intends to vote on this Ordinance on this Tuesday August 10, 1999, sometime after 3:00 P.M in the afternoon.

If you have a concern over the loss of existing trails in El Dorado County please, call, write or be there. There has not been any evaluation of the potential impacts which this Ordinance may cause, just this single sheet has been submitted.
