shoe boils
Yes we have. We have a young horse we did not notice it forming. We hot
packed it 2x a day and that took it down. Problem is if you don't
find/correct the reason, they come back. Ours seems to be the hard stall
mats (not bedded) and the hard run he is in. He goes in and out and is
turned out during the day but does his *down time* either in the stall or
in the run. It often times is aggravated by the elbow resting on or
against a hoof. They make a shoe boil boot but we never bothered. Now we
keep his stall bedded and so far, knock on wood, that seems to have done
the trick. Good luck.
