Re: RC: How many of you started riding after age 40?
Went on my first horse back ride at age 45. It lasted for 6 hours and I
couldn't dismount . I had to be pulled off and I thought to die was a good
thing so I could be put out of my misery. Heck, I was hooked, and have learnt
so much from my horses. The only trouble lately is I have become quite
chicken after 12 years. Now I know more and every year more again so I am not
the fearless idiot I once was. Even got me a 5 year old to keep me going.
Fear especially when you don't expect it, keeps the heart beating stronger so
if I don't look in the mirror I think I am still a young chicken. Horses are
wonderful and I <most of the time> am glad fate stepped in and a horse came
into my life. Pam in Reno.
