Not to change the subject (or maybe to change the subject), but I think the whole discussion has been really useful, especially for new riders, who might not have thought though their tack options very carefully. Perhaps the best thing to come out of this event is a heightened awareness and the possibility that future accidents might be avoided by what happened to this rider. It's also gonna make people look twice (despite DIMR) after an accident occurs. I'd been riding w/o a breast collar for training rides, and I ordered one the day after this happened. I'd rather use and ride with the extra gear than find out too late that I should have been using it. m ----- Original Message ----- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
