Dear Lucie and Kristi;
This black horse thread reminds me of a story.  A good friend of mine,
Donna Simpson Morgan, used to have a delightful, straight Egyptian,
black gelding she called Valen(short for Valentino).  She rode endurance
with him and was often asked if he got too hot being black.  She always
replied,  "He's been black his whole life, so I guess he's used to it."
