 qualified as an endurance rider. 20 50's takes a long time. 10 100's and 
 40 25's as well. Is it the total distance or just the race distance that
 makes an
 endurance horse/rider? What about an "endurance" 100 miler horse that
 finishes
 1000 miles of 100 milers in 2 years and a LD horse that finishes 1000
 miles
 of 25 milers in 4 years? Hasn't that LD horse remained firm under
 hardship? 
 And for a longer period of time?
