head rubbing

hey guys!! I would never dicipline my horse for rubbing the same way I
would for biting!!

I own notorious face rubbers and I am guilty of letting them rub. I
figure if their face itches half as much as my back does, then they NEED
to rub. HOWEVER, I try to teach a time and a place sort of thing. One way
I have found for stopping my filly is by using a wet sponge. If she tries
to rub when it's inappropriate, I hold the sponge up to her face. She
backs off. If it's ok to rub, then I present my back and tell her it's ok.

She is learing quickly. My gelding Sir Revel knows the difference between
ok to rub and not now! I expect Weagle to be as smart if not smarter
about it, and so far she is really showing that to be true.
