RE: first LD

Jutta's description of the Fort Howes Ride  made me homesick.  As a
native Montanan (not currently living there), I can support her claims
of the magnificent beauty.  I will be traveling back there in August and
am planning to do my first stint as a volunteer for the Eagle Nest Ride
near Columbus, MT.  Is anyone planning on doing this ride?  I figure I
will learn a lot by helping out.  It would be great to ride one of the
shorter distances but unfortunately, I will not be able to bring my
horse with me.  No trailer, little time and he's just not comfortable
with hauling right now (had an accident in a trailer before I bought
him).  I'd love to meet some of you if you plan to be there.  I was also
considering participation in the Al-Marah Competitive Trail Ride Series
(the July one) near Flagstaff.  I might be able to have my horse trained
to haul by then.  Anyone going to do that one?  I am currently living in
Tucson, AZ.
