No, no a thousand times no....Shannon...keep your goals out in front..
the people ARE good and genuine and fair...
Discussions get started and the tone gets a little too scary for new-
comers to the sport; no one means it to be discouraging, really.
It's just a discussion. Go, have fun, ask questions, learn, observe
take care of your horse, etc., etc., ride, and then ride some more.
It will all fall into place, just like it did for the rest of us.
