Tevis Trail Special Note

From the Tevis Webmaster:

This year's Tevis Ride on 8/8/98 will follow the "normal" route from Foresthill
to Francisco's.  It will NOT go through White Oak Flat as it did for the 1997
Ride.  

Riders conditioning on the trails below Foresthill this year should be aware
that the 1997 route through Todd Valley involved crossing a section of private
property with the owner's permission, granted for the 1997 Ride Weekend
**ONLY.**  

If you plan to ride through Todd Valley by turning uphill off the main route at
"Cal-2," you can bypass the private section by turning left when reaching the
paved cul-de-sac and following the paved road up to Todd Valley Road. You can
then reconnect with the Todd Valley trail to White Oak.
