Mt. Charleston Alternate directions

Hi Ridecampers:

Since I drive for a living and put up with the traffic here in Vegas, I
thought I'd post some alternate directions to help with the big construction
traffic tie ups we have going on. The traffic jams start at 3:00 p.m. Unless
there's a fender dender, then it's a real mess.

Coming from Calif.
Take off exit 34, Blue Diamond. Turn left. Drive 5 or 6 miles to Rainbow.
There is a Texaco station on the corner. Turn right. Stay on Rainbow...5 miles
of it is alittle on the rough side. After that it is 3 lanes, but 6 or so
miles of signals.
Rainbow will take you to 95-North.  You'll want to be in the left lane after
you pass Charleston Blvd. Stay on 95 til you reach the Lee Cyn. turn off. It's
about 25 miles from Rainbow.

Coming from Utah:

Exit on Craig Rd. Turn right. Follow up til you hit 95-North. Enter freeway
from the right lane. Follow out to the Lee Cyn. turn off. It will be about 18
miles.

Coming from AZ:

There are no alternates, sorry....
Just stay on 95 and go with the flow....

The weather will probably be in the mid to high 60's during the day. So it
will probably be 40's at night. But one never knows for sure.
