I have noticed more and more states being picky on horse trailers passing by
weight stations. It usually takes only a few minutes off your travel time and
they usually just give you a green light. The Federal Government is starting to
be tough on us. We certainly need to band together. The RV industry got
themselves exempted from all of this, we most horse trailers are mandated on the
books to stop. Enforcement jus didn;t used to be there, now it is getting
stronger. Also, if your rig weighs 10,000 or more (total) you are required to
keep a log book. No joke!!!!
I hear also, that these new bigger trucks that have "lounge" boxes..legally
qualifying them for RV status, are coming under fire.
