I want to thank all of you for the ongoing discussion on this and all subjects.  I am someone who is trying to learn all that I can before my first ride, and this group is most hopeful.  The last thing I will need is an injured horse (mine or someone else's) through my own lack of knowledge.  While much of this is common sense for many of you, those of us who have limited first hand knowledge benefit greatly from yours. Keep it up!!
