Re: My first ride
You have every right to be proud of both yourself and your horse! Continue
doing what you're doing and always remember that feeling when you finished
your first ride. Always congratulate and be grateful to your horse because
this sport is YOUR idea not his/hers.
What drew me to this sport was the lack of politics and judging. You see all
kinds of horses and mules, from the backyard types to the very expensive, all
kinds of rigs and tack, and especially all kinds of people. Just keep in mind
what is important in this sport: the horse. Compete at whatever level you
desire keeping the safety and soundness of your companion foremost in your
mind and you will always be a winner
Melanie.
