I know that Adequan, Legend and Cosequin are used for different reasons,
yet
are fairly closely related. If money were no object, would it be
beneficial to
supplement a horse with all 3? Just wondering. Money is an object with
me.

Adequan is injectable Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) intended for settling down
inflamed synovial membranes while providing the base material for cartilage
regeneration--it's more powerful than oral GAGs. Legend is injectable
hyaluronic acid, found in joint capsules and other bursae including tendon
sheaths--strengthens synovial fluid. There are dozens of oral GAGs, including
Cosequine. The best mixes will have about a 2 to 1 ratio of
glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate. These are best used as preventatives and as a
follow-on after more aggressive treatments for acute joint problems.
