Camelbak Water systems
I've been using a camelbak water pack for several years now & I do like
it. However, I recently saw a different version that sits like a fanny
pack & hold ~100 oz. Has anyone tried these? Did you like them? How
did they compare to the reular Camelbak?
The reason I'm considering the fanny pack style? - The camel back is
made for bikers who lean forward over their handle bars, allowing the
pack to rest on their backs. Equestrians adopt a more upright posture &
the weight falls on the shoulders straps. They fanny packs are a bit
pricey, so I was hoping to hear yeah or nay on these before plunking
down the equivalent of a ride entry for a new gadget.
BTW, I already have a sport bottle water holder that I like, so I'm not
looking for one of those - it's used to spray the horse with water when
we're on the long dry stretches, and the camelbak is <my> drinking
water.
If anyone is interested, I'll post results to the list.
Thanks!
