I don't try to secure a bucket while moving, but I DO go in with the horses
every time I stop and offer water. They usually get the picture pretty
quickly. I usually average a stop about every 2 to 3 hours. I also pretty
much try to keep hay in front of them all the time. As I am often hauling
broodmares and youngsters, I rarely unload, even on long cross-country trips.
It is easier to unload the endurance horses, as they are more dependable about
being handled in strange places and getting back in the trailer.
