Maybe because no one wants to stick their neck out and have you get nailed
on a drug test <G>.
I'm not sure whar "Atra-vet" is--that's a proprietary name, not a chemical
name, but I would allow at least a week--drug testing has become
sufficiently sensitive to pick up vanishingly small amounts of drugs and
metabolites.
I would further suggest you work diligently to school your horse so that
he does not require tranqulization for shoeing. Otherwisw, it could get
dicey if he tosses a shoe during a ride...
