HI David,
My opinion and my opinion only is if you value the new foal, don't take any chances. Don't
race at all. Mares can slip a foal very easily in the first 45 days, can absorb the foal or
miscarry at any time during the pregnancy. I know a lot of people race, but if I bred a
mare for a foal, I wouldn't take any chances, especially if I had money tied up in stud
fees, etc.
