OrthoFlex saddle rebuild??

Has anyone had any experience with rebuilding
an OF saddle? I love the seat (cutback) and it
has a decent tree, but I'd like to remove the
flex panels and turn it into a 'regular' padded
english saddle. 

Any saddle makers out there that are familiar with
the OF system? Can this even be done?
