The Board makes mistakes, and the Board can correct them when they're
made and recognized. The negative impact of the ruling on rides in
the NW is clear, and may well be felt in other Regions as well. I
believe the Board must clearly reaffirm the right of ride managers to
ban known problem horses from their rides, *before* the horse is
brought onto the grounds. This should be done no later than the
upcoming convention.
I haven't made a final decision yet on whether to manage a ride in
Colorado next summer, and Board action on this question will be a
factor in that decision.
