Seeker of information.
I own a horse in Chiapas (Southern Mexico) and am toying with the idea of riding the horse from the city of San Cristobal de Las Casas to Northern California.
My experience with horses consists of one and a half years of riding in the Chiapas highlands. I am seeking information regarding long distance riding, riding through Mexico, crossing the border and riding through the states.
Although such a venture may seem ludicrous, especially with the recent conflict in Chiapas; the ride offers a worthwhile opportunity to explore Mexico and parts of the U.S.. I am an organic farmer (transformed urbanite) with interests in sustainability and alternative living. Part of my travels will involve visits to ecologically minded communities.
