I found a web site with some good articles on chiropractic / massage /
rolfing at:
www.thehorse.com
under the Knowledge Bank: Alternative Therapies.
The Novato Humane Society in conjunction with The Marin Horse Council
(no. Cal.) are putting on what appears to be a good class on Jan 17th
featuring Dr's Steers & Simms, Erin McKensey, and Diana Thompson. Send
me your fax number privately if you want me to fax over the brochure.
Cost is $15. Descriptions are care / feeding / dressage / massage for
the competitive horse. These are all well known people in endurance or
massage.
We are enjoying excellent weather here for now (rain is coming). I
had a wonderful gallop on Lari Shea's horse along the Mendocino coast,
with gray whales spouting and harbor seals sunning, plus very fine
company. I now know how a true champion feels under a rider. I'm
terrible with names but I rode I think "Figuro" who came in 47th at Pan
America this year. The last canter I let him go just 1/2 a second and
he took off and passed the other guys within 2! Sorry friends, we had
to stop the line and trot him down and you know what, he didn't even
break a sweat. Wow, I wish we could have gone on but you just can't
when you are on someone else's horse! What a blast!
At least the days are starting to be longer now...
Happy 1998 to all, may it be better than the last....
