Can someone tell me about the usefulness of this product for horses with
slight arthritis in the back legs and hindquarters? My Mum's polocrosse horse
suffers from this and she wants to make him comfortable in the paddock, even
if she can't or shouldn't ride him. He doesn't seem to be in pain, and
loosens up after some excercises, but feels very jarring to ride. Would it be
better to keep him ridden regularly (obviously not in a hard game of
polocrosse!) or to retire him completely? Have heard that Chondroitin
Sulphate may be helpful? Where would she purchase this from, have tried local
Vet supplies without success. Also, a friend has an endurance horse which has
been vetting out on lameness due to a bone spur on it's ankle joint and has
been told there's nothing that can be done about it, would CS help in this
case? She's considering getting another Vet's opinion, as a nurse she knows
it is a minor procedure in humans to remove a spur and wonders if it could be
done on a horse? Thanks in advance,
