Yes the enterolith was persimmon pulp. Yes, there is documentation.
OK State University is doing research on it.
We have heard not to let horses eat persimmons, but always thought it was
because of the indigestable seeds.... Ours were fenced out of them the
best we could. Have 10 horses that have been on this pasture for 8 years.
Some like them more than others, I guess.
It could have been developing for years.
