Dear Linda, the disadvantages to the rabies vaccine go FAR beyond "some
soreness and tissue irritation,"--documented rabies vaccine side effects
include, but are not limited to: extreme pain, paralysis, anaphylactic shock,
swelling of the brain, death. Less well documented, but highly suspected
reactions can include, but are not limited to: an immune system compromised
for LIFE, less resistence to other diseases (a direct result of the
compromised immune system). less resistence to stress (not good, in an
endurance horse!), cancer, and setting up a susceptability to auto-immune
disease.
