<< all were pulled at various points. I read it on the endurance net ROC
site. Others pulled were Danielle Kanavy riding Cash, Steve Rojeck riding
Hawk, Dinah rojeck was pulled at check in. all according to the info at
that
sight. Must have been tough.

I am going to open up a can of worms here...the ride was tough in it's own
way, but not so tough that most horses could not have finished it if ridden
smartly. That does NOT mean most riders did not ride smart...it means that
the vet staff was, in my and many other opinions, OVERLY critical and NOT
definitive in their reasons for many of the pulls. I know four horses in
particular that would never have been pulled at a "normal" ride. In these
four cases the vets could not decide for sure IF a problem existed...they
just felt there was a problem... Not all horses were trotted in circles to
determine lameness when a question existed. Riders were NOT given to
opportunity to represent in 20-30 minutes (before end of hold time). The
rider who parted with her horse on trail and retrieved it was held up ON
TRAIL for 30 minutes until a vet could come examine the horse..the rider was
then allowed to continue, but with NO possibility of making the cut-off at
the next vet check..hence eliminated.
More details in ensueing conversation...
